OMG - now the longest day of the year !! - all downhill from now one - we have had less than a weeks sunshine so far !!!! and my vegetables are not growing !!!

Sunshine galore over here. Stop it I am envious! - we will only have potatoes and onions to live on 'come the winter' LOL - my first year at 'growing my own' a steep learning curve going on here - the local critters are getting fat - bless em !

All of our flowers are doing fantastic - the neighbour said the front of our house look like the 'hanging gardens of Babylon' - will show pic. veggies are naff, I started them off too late I think - my bosses are 3 times the size as mine, she started them in February in her house, I started mine in March in a cold greenhouse !! I will learn !

I will learn ! i gave up on the veggie garden. i didnt mind the work, but when we had the garden it seemed every year we go away during the picking time and we hardly ever get to reap the rewards. i would tell the neighbors to come help themselves. i rather to the flowers and shrubs. i'm waiting for my Lilly beds to bloom. last year they were really beautiful.

I had a rush of blood to the head last autumn and ripped up a patch of grass to grow the veggies, wanting a little space of my own - hubby does hanging baskets tubs etc. - this is my baby and although I moan about it - have enjoyed doing it growing the things from seed, peas are amazing there little tiny fronds come out and hang onto the pea netting - it amazes me, who told them how to do that?? I would love to see your Lilly beds (my moms name - I always buy her a Lily for special occasions) -

some of the lilies started to bloom. i bought DayLily hybrids a few years ago and they are the most interesting colors. the pale strawberry one opened yesterday. i take almost daily pictures and when i have something worth while, i'll post them. can't wait for the chocolate colored one to open.

I have given up on it - I think photobox doesnt recognize them because I have put them through Coraldraw to reduce there size - Hmpmmmm - never mind there is always email !!! cant wait to see your lillies
