I remember when there was quite a lot of traffic on the old ET board in this thread and the first version of The Lair. What happened? Did we all get lazy or something?

LOL! I admire everyone's honesty!
I actually worked out yesterday. I'm still coming back from being sick, so it was nothing like I used to do (YET). But slow and sure, I'll be back to form soon. If not better! I am already working on a six-pack (And I don't mean beer, either...lol). It's about a 2.5 pack rigth about now, but it's getting there.
I think I am going to start running again, as well. I was looking at my old Corps pics and even though I did not pack as much muscle back then, I was in killer shape. My goal now is to combine the two....More muscularity along with my old military conditioning.

I am going to get my lazy ass moving - back on the treadmill for the sake of my knees which sound like squelching plastic bags when I come down the stairs - but can say my hips joints are much improved due to Glucosamine and Chondroitin supplements - I dont lie awake at night in pain with my hips - I wake up in pain with my toes - whats that about ?

I cant leap about - but that aint no excuse for not getting fit agian is it !!! - the tread mill is awaiting - we have temps here of 30 (86) which are unusual for us, and I know I wont last 5 minutes tonight - but the weather is going to cool over the weekend, so will get back with earnest (?just a strange guy who hangs about) ;D Hope you knees hold out - be interesed to hear how you go.

Didn't get to do any running yet. May go out tomorrow. Was busy as hell at work this week and got my workout in running up and down this rig they designed for us to use temporarily. Did hit the weights, though and that went well. I've already gained back about 17 of the 30 pounds I lost over the past few months while I was ill.

I always find it amazing how quickly muscle tone can be lost - just 2 weeks off make a big difference - I have got back off the treadmill and did 45 mins - I didnt think I would get beyond 30 so was pleased - also suffered no muscle sorness or initial tiredness after it strange - I must push it up a little bit next time, maybee took it a little too easy being first time back !

Spent 2 sessions since my last visit here - and do I feel better for it - not just after but feel better the next day - it seems to make a difference all around, body and spirit, I think it is just knowing I have got off my lazy ass and spent an hour 'putting some effort in' !

Sometimes a little effort can work wonders for us mentally.
I haven't been running much lately. Been working 12 hour shifts and am totally beat when I get home. I can muster enough to hit the weights for about 20 minutes, so that is cool, at least.
